Hi, I’m Katy Goodell.
Quiet House Studio grew from a long-standing love of creating spaces that feel warm, personal, and quietly beautiful.
More than thirty years ago, while furnishing our first home on a limited budget, I began searching secondhand shops and flea markets for pieces that felt just right. That early habit of collecting and layering objects still shapes the way I approach interiors today—spaces that evolve over time rather than come together all at once.
While raising our three children, I continued experimenting with our home, studying design, and eventually designing our house in San Clemente, California. Along the way I spent years refining my eye through hands-on work and experience.
I’m drawn to meaningful pieces, natural materials, and objects with history—elements that bring a sense of place and ease into a home.
Quiet House Studio exists to help people bring warmth, balance, and thoughtful composition to homes that already have good bones but need the final layer that pulls everything together. I believe our homes should be a place where we can exhale.
